Craftsman and Shaker Furniture

My furniture is inspired by Craftsman and Shaker designs. My work is characterized by clean traditional lines with use of exposed handcut joinery.

Because of my wood policy, I have the distinct advantage of being able to hand-select each piece of wood that goes into a piece of furniture. Based on your needs, I take the time to consider seasonal climate changes, strength, and aesthetic in cutting the wood for your piece of furniture.

Each piece of furniture comes with a description of the wood used in it—where the tree had grown, how old it was when it fell, and if possible, when it came down. My work is ideally suited for making furniture out of downed trees from your property, from milling to finished product.
